Dr. Kevin YipDr. Kevin Yip

Dr. Kevin Yip of Singapore Sports and Orthopedic Clinic had obtained his medical degree from St. Thomas’ Hospital London, England. After completing his post-graduate training in London, in 1990 Dr Yip received his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. Before moving to Hong Kong, he gained tremendous amount of experience while working in several hospital units in England.

In Hong Kong he soon became a Associate Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Prince of Wales Hospital where he was engaged in extensive research in various fields, in particular the knees and shoulder. After leaving Hong Kong, Dr Yip joined the Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore as an orthopedic surgeon and consultant. Besides general orthopedics, he also specializes in knee and shoulder surgery.

Dr Ambrose YungDr Ambrose Yung

Dr Ambrose Yung is a specialist orthopaedic consultant with experience in partial knee replacement, complex primary total knee replacement, revision knee replacement, minimal invasive knee and shoulder sports surgery.

After his orthopaedic specialist qualification, he was awarded 1-year fellowship in world renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospital and Hip & Knee Division, Southampton University Hospital. During his fellowship, he was well trained in minimal invasive partial knee replacement and complex total knee replacement, computer navigational partial and total knee replacement.

Dr Yung was awarded Minister for Health Award, Singapore for his contribution to medical relief in Indonesian Earthquake, 2006. After his voluntary medical work in SARS 2003, he was awarded Certificate of Honor, Hospital Authority of Hong Kong for his contribution in fighting against SARS.

He is Senior Clinical Lecturer in Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Clinical Physician Faculty, Singhealth Residency.

Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi graduated from medical school in 2001 and obtained his Masters of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from National University of Singapore in 2005. He completed his orthopedic surgical training in 2009 and graduated as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) and as a fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi was subsequently awarded a Clinical Fellowship in Trauma and Arthroplasty in Germany (2009) by SICOT organization after topping the Diploma Exams (Dip SICOT). He was also awarded by the ‘AO Trauma Education’ institute to pursue another Clinical Fellowship in Complex Trauma in Fribourg, Switzerland (2012). To further his subspecialty orthopaedic training, Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi was awarded a training scholarship by the Ministry of Health and completed  Clinical Fellowships in Innsbruck, Austria for the duration of 1 year to pursue his clinical interest in Adult Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgery as well as a Fellowship in Geriatric Fracture Management (2012/2013). His current practice involves management of patients with Complex Fractures and patients requiring Joint Replacement or Reconstruction with a particular interest in the aging population.

Prior to establishing private practice, Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was instrumental in establishing and executing the first ever Geriatric Hip Fracture Care Pathway in Singapore. With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi has been actively involved in teaching medical students and residents in Orthopaedic Training as a Senior Clinical Lecturer with National University of Singapore and an Assistant Professor with Lee Kong Chian Medical School at Nanyang Technology University. Besides clinical and teaching activities, he has extensive scientific publications in Orthopaedic Trauma and Geriatric Fracture Management. He is also a reviewer for several international Orthopaedic journals.

Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi has been invited as a Lecturer and Chairperson in numerous international and regional conferences including the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Switzerland, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Indonesia. He is also a Faculty member for the AO International Education and a National Representative for the International Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SICOT). Furthermore, he has held appointments as an ‘Educational Consultant’ with other organizations.

Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi was awarded the Public Healthcare Clinician Special Recognition Award in 2013 and a Quality Improvement Award in 2014 for his outstanding clinical, research and teaching contributions. Besides professional achievements, he has also made significant contributions socially. Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi was involved actively in the Mercy Relief’s Disaster Team that rendered humanitarian relief to the victims of the earthquake in Central Java, Indonesia in 2006 and received a Health Award for his commendable performance in the Medical Relief Effort. As a veteran of humanitarian projects, Dr. Hitendra K Doshi continues to be involved in regular social service activities including medical camps and public health seminars in English, bahasa Indonesia and bahasa Melayu. The local press has also interviewed him for his significant clinical contributions on several occasions. Besides English, Malay and Indonesian language, Dr. Hitendra K. Doshi also speaks fluent Hindi and Gujarati.
